A bit of history of Mangini - group Nicos joined in 2023 . When Mangini decided to start producing technological movable partition walls in 1991, it was an entirely new concept in Italy. Founded in 1956, the company was already successfully operating in the construction sector as a manufacturer of steel profiles for drywall and the leading distributor of drywall in Southern Italy. This new business, though based on solid skills and manufacturing capabilities, was ambitious and visionary. However, this entrepreneurial spirit characterized Stefano Mangini, the founder who recently passed away at the age of ninety and is unanimously remembered for his courage, boldness, and humanity in leading his company. "Everything is possible!" was his primary teaching. It took thirty years, moments of crisis and great courage, significant acquisitions, and the determination of the current president, Massimo Mangini, but today the concept of modularity promoted by Nicos-Mangini is an international leader in design across various sectors: from workspaces to healthcare, from controlled contamination environments for pharmaceuticals and biomedical fields to the large dry rooms of Gigafactories, and from modular buildings to modular hospitals.

Thanks to recent acquisitions of Acotec—an engineering company specializing in Turnkey projects for the pharmaceutical, healthcare, microelectronics, and aerospace sectors—and Nicomac Europe—one of the leading companies in Italy and Europe for designing, producing, and installing cleanrooms and systems for coating and granulation—Mangini is now one of the most important industrial groups in Europe for controlled contamination environments and turnkey projects for the pharmaceutical sector. Mangini’s numbers describe a complex and dynamic reality, strongly oriented towards manufacturing and internationalization:
3 production sites—one in Putignano (Bari), where the group’s headquarters is located, one in Liscate (Milan) in the historic Nicomac plant, and one in São Paulo, Brazil; 5 technical offices, including the North American hub of Nicos and the Ferrara headquarters of Acotec; 155 employees; over 4,000 completed projects; and a significant showroom in central Milan. This organization reflects a strong determination to pursue excellence through high technological content and continuous research in service of certifications: fire safety, acoustics, environmental, and seismic, particularly serving Pharma companies and their specific needs. Recent certifications include fire reaction class B-s1,d0 and Chain of Custody (CoC)certification—FSC Italy, ensuring the traceability and sustainability of wood materials used for medical walls, technical walls, and doors produced in Putignano. Regarding seismic risk, which is particularly high and strictly regulated in Italy, Mangini is the only company in the sector to offer an innovative patented seismic system for walls, ceilings, and cleanroom installations. This certification was obtained through vibration table tests at the Federico II University of Naples, demonstrating resistance under operational conditions (ISO 7).
